Increase in Foreclosures Expected

The Mortgage Bankers Association predicts foreclosures will rise with the interest rates.  According to data the $1.2 trillion in ARMs will reset to higher rates early next year.  The real concern here is for the 14% of subprime borrowers with adjustable rate mortgages that are already behind on their payments.

The City of Bennettsville has been working to clean up areas where property owners have neglected or abandoned property and left unsightly and unsafe conditions.   Property owners must adhere to local codes in regards to property condition and the City’s efforts are definitely a step towards bringing up property values in the affected areas.

Christmas parades are planned in Bennettsville, McColl and Clio in the next few weeks.  McColl with have their annual parade on December 6th at 4:30. 
Bennettsville’s big parade will be on December the 12, at 4:30 pm.  Cash prizes are awarded!
Clio will host their event on December 16 at 10:30 am.
