Marlboro County tax bills, normally sent in October, should be arriving in your mail soon. The delays are likely caused due to reassessment this year. New Homeowners who purchased this year, need to contact the tax assessor to get their bills as they will likely be sent to the former owner of record.
South Carolina’s Governor was sent home today to get his identification as he attempted to exercise his right to vote. Apparently he was not recognized by poll workers or was it the poll watchers who prevailed in our Governor not being allowed to cast his vote until he provided proper identification? Sales on the Coast are cooling but the Pee Dee region leads the State in growth according to the third quarter report from the MLS data from the South Carolina Association of REALTORS(R). That’s good news for the Pee Dee area which had a 12.26% increase in home sales over July thru September last year.
